Kiphire, May 3 (MExN): The Kiphire district administration has decided to go on a 3-day “Pen Down Strike” with effect from May 6 to 8, 2013. According to information relayed by the SDO Civil Kiphire, the strike is held as a sign of resentment against the recent ransacking and burning down of the official residence of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire and the burning down of vehicles belonging to the district administration. These acts of ransacking and burning are seen to be undermining the authority of the administration, it stated.
