Kiphire DPDB: Members asked to submit district action plan, vision 2022 document

The monthly meeting of Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on March 14 at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner here.  

District Planning Officer and DPDB secretary, who is also a nodal officer of the ‘Aspiring District,’ called upon the members to submit district action plan for 2018-22 at the earliest. Informing that Parbhari officer could visit the district, he asked the members to be prepared with information to submit when asked for.  

The Planning Officer also asked the DPDB members to submit vision 2022 document which is overdue for submission to the Planning & Co-ordination department.  

Thungchanbemo Tungoe, SDO (C), who chaired the meeting, meanwhile expressed gratitude to the officers and the departmental heads for extending cooperation and support towards the success of the recently concluded 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election.  

Pointing out the need to renovate the DPDB conference hall, he also stated the matter will be discussed in the next meeting in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner.  

The chairperson also suggested forming Officers’ Club in the district which will bring the officers closer.   While discussing the water issue faced by the citizens, the representative of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) said though the department has restored the water supply it is unable to supply water more than the present capacity.  

The District Education Officer also enlightened the members regarding the ongoing HSLC and HSSLC exams. It was informed that the district has five exam centres.  

The house welcomed Senior SDEO Saprayi Lohe to the board.
