Kiphire, February 11 (MExN): A coordination meeting with General Observer, Dr Sridhar Babu Addanki, IAS, Police Observer, Dr Amardeep Singh Kapoor IPS, Expenditure Observer, BK Vishnu Priya IRS, SP Kiphire, Swarnambika IPS and DC & DEO Kiphire, T Wati Aier NCS with all the political parties in the district was held at the DC’s conference hall on February 11.
Chairing the meeting, Dc & DEO Kiphire T Wati Aier, NCS called upon the party agents present there to abide by the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) while explaining the same to them.
The observers impressed upon the party agents to cooperate with the election machinery and follow the MCC. They also said that their mobile numbers and their place of stay have been disseminated through the newspapers for public perusal and that any citizen can approach them for redressal of any election related issue in the district.
SP Kiphire, K Swarnambika IPS, while appreciating the parties for the peaceful law and order situation in the district hitherto, encouraged the party agents to help the police to ensure that the election in the district is held in a peaceful manner. She also gave them the Mobile No. of Addl. SP Kiphire and Police Nodal Officer for the district (6009308147) and asked them to report of any election related violence or malpractices that are noticed.
The meeting ended with a presentation on MCC, C-Vigil and Encore Apps, stated a press release from Additional SP Kiphire & PRO, DEF Kiphire.
