Kiphire orgs wallop DCC for SSA allegations

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): Various organization and bodies in Kiphire have come out strongly against the allegation of anomalies leveled against the SSA. Terming them baseless, the organizations have in separate notes questioned the intent of the Kiphire District Congress Committee (DCC) in leveling the ‘baseless’ accusations against the scheme.

The Village Education Committee of Langzanger in a note issued by its chairman stated that the allegations of the DCC were only creating hurdles in developmental activities. Terming the allegations of delegated responsibility (“hijacking responsibilities” of certain project functionaries) and bribery in the scheme implementation as “baseless,” the VEC asked the departmental authorities to enquire into the matter. The DCC was also advised not to issue any statements without “knowing the reality.”

The GBs union of Amahator area also expressed “shock” at the allegations. Its president in a separate note stated that rather than ‘assassinating the character’ of the SSA, their works should be appreciated. Maintaining that SSA staffers have never demanded any bribes, the union asked the concern authorities “not to take any disciplinary action against the SSA staff.” The union stated that attempting “to mislead the innocent public by way of raising false allegations shall not serve the purpose.”

The Tethuyo Village Education also in a similar note from its VEC stated that the ‘hardworking’ SSA staffers are ‘cooperating in all works’ which are bearing fruits in their completion. The allegations do not carry any concrete facts and so far “no adverse have been found” it maintained.

Ngoromi Village Council on its part challenged the DCC to visit the GPS at Ngoromi for verification. Since the village is in need of the SSA, active support is given to it to make their developmental missions successful. The council stated it felt ‘humiliated’ by the allegations of the SSA. Rather than level such charges, “let us promise” to extend all possible support to the SSA who are tirelessly putting efforts for all-round developmental activities, the council appealed.

The Langkok Village Education Committee also maintained that the Kiphire DCC’s allegations are “an attempt to degrade the SSA projects to drain away the ongoing civil works in Kiphire district.” A note from its VEC stated that rather than appreciating the ‘good works’ of the SSA staffers, the DCC ha “started putting up allegations.”  The concern authorities are appealed to clarify on the matter to clear any doubts being cast n the “innocent” SSA functionaries.
