Kiphire, June 17 (MExN): The Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship conducted one day programme for students of Kiphire district on June 15 at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Kiphire.
Around 130 students from various schools in Kiphire were given awareness on skilling for livelihood and career options after class 10, 12, and graduation, stated a press release from Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, Assistant Director of the department.
Menguzelie, TC, ESDE spoke on ‘skilling intervention’, while Anirbam, Operation Manager, Emporium, Kolkata and State Marketing Head, Makeover Academy, Siliguri covered ‘career opportunities in private sector with special focus on service industry’.
The second session on ‘Career options after Class -10, PU, Graduation and preparation for Competitive Exams’ was taken up by Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, Assistant Director, ESDE and Gideon L Sumi, EO, DEE, Phek.
Among other officials, the programme was attended by Anenla T Sato, Commissioner & Secretary, Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, GoN, Muhammad Ali Shahib (IAS), DC Kiphire, and C Lotam Chang, Joint Director and Convenor of the Mela.
