Kiphire, January 10: C. Kipili Sangtam Parliamentary Secretary, Power today graced the inaugural function of Kiphire district Sumi Students Union (KDSSU) 14th general session under the theme ‘Glorious Generation’ as chief guest.
Challenging the student community the chief guest said, “being the leaders of tomorrow students should know what to do at the right time and how to take wise decision in every field so that the generation, society and community is benefited through you.” The chief guest called upon the student community to put dedication, sincerity and punctuality first so that one’s aim is achieved and added, “gone are the days where ‘might is right’, but today it is proved otherwise” and said, “reconciliation unity and peaceful coexistence with friends and neighbor is the only way to achieve the goal.”
Also recollecting the past years, the chief guest said, “During our time as student we have to collect firewood, water and sometimes serve as servant to earn education but today you are being provided with the best of all so you have to strife foreword to achieve the goal.” Advising the parents he said, “Home is the first institute for child and being a responsible parents you have feed your child in the right perspective so that peace prevail in the society.”
General Secretary SKK while greeted the gathering call for peaceful coexistence where ever one is and also added, we the students should humble our self so that community around is impressed by us.
He also said with the change of education policies we are going to become certificate students till class VIII and asked the student to have quality education and not certificate student.
