Dimapur, Dec 8 (MExN): Some public leaders and GBs of Kizari village were abducted by the NSCN-K Chakhesang Region December 2 on charges of having links with the rival faction, NSCN-IM. They were released only later after leaders of the village intervened.
According to a press note issued by village authorities Head GB Zachori, VCM Razoukhrielie and VCM Nushezo, the leaders (names not mentioned in the note) were falsely charged of abetting the NSCN-IM’s intelligence network by some vested persons for reasons best known to the informers. The general public has asked the NSCN-K Chakhesang region authorities to dismiss the allegations leveled against the leaders and have demanded that the identities of the informers be revealed.
Condemning the incident of the adduction of leaders, the note reminded that the action is “never appropriate for the innocent leaders”, and called for befitting punishment for the “dastardly informers”. This would save the society from the menace of these informers, it stated.
“We shall look forward for nationalistic justification from your esteemed government. We once again portray that the arrested leaders are never part of any faction and never ever linked with any particular faction” the village authorities appealed and demanded that the allegations be dismissed “so that everyone could live in peaceful life without dark cloud over anyone”.
