Work together for peace, development: Patton
Kohima, April 2 (MExN): The Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) today organized a thanksgiving programme for the elected members from Lotha community at the church conference hall in Kohima.
Addressing the programme, Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Y. Patton acknowledged KLBC for organizing the event, which he said, is a heartwarming programme and to get closer to God.
He appealed the different political parties to forgive and forget the differences during the last general election and work together for peace and development in the state.
Patton also said that when the church is firm, the government will be firm.
“Therefore both the institutions should work hand in hand, specially in a Christian state like Nagaland,” he said.
Mhathung Yanthan, advisor agriculture, Mhonbemo Humtsoe, MLA and Achumbemo Kikon, MLA also spoke during the programme.
Rev. Dr. Benry Lotha senior Pastor KLBC also exhorted the gathering. The programme was chaired by Mhonchumo, Pastor KLBC.
