Kohima, September 22 (MExN): In compliance with the State Level Co-ordination Committee (SLCC) decision and to strengthen implementation and enforcement of COTPA Act 2003, Tobacco Vendor Licence (TVL) shall be mandatory for all retailers & retail shops engaged in tobacco vending activities and all such activities hereafter shall be under the total purview and supervision of the government. This was stated in a notification issued by Zapuno Sophie, Chief Executive Officer, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC). In the connection, all traders operating within the jurisdiction of KMC have been directed to obtain the Tobacco Vendor Licence (TVL) from the office of KMC within one month from the date of issue of this notification.
