KMC issues precautionary measures

KOHIMA, MARCH 23 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today informed its employees that a roster system will be followed in order to avoid overcrowding, wherein only those officers/staff on roster duty will be allowed to enter its office. 


A notification from the KMC informed that public would not be entertained at the office except for emergencies. It asked the staff to take precautionary measures and maintain basic hygiene, and ordered regular sanitization of the office and equipments. 


It meanwhile stated that basic sanitation services like collection/disposal of waste and other field duties will continue. All sanitation, essential duty vehicles will continue to report/perform their duties as usual till further orders. 


It further reiterated the government’s order that spitting in public places would be liable for punishment.
