Kohima, October 24 (MExN): Informing of some vegetable vendors selling their products at exorbitant rates, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has once again warned that vendors found selling above the maximum rates within the KMC jurisdiction shall be penalized and the goods seized as per the provision of law. In a statement, KMC Administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose had stated, “It has come to the knowledge of this office that some vegetable vendors are selling their products at exorbitant rates beyond the maximum retail rates fixed by the Kohima Municipal Council, which is causing immense hardship to the public.” Further, the public were requested to inform the KMC if such practices come to their knowledge.
