The multiple potholes on the Box Cutting road in Kohima are creating significant risks for commuters. The road, which serves as a major arterial route to many locations, is particularly hazardous for vehicles traveling uphill. Constructed by the PWD (Roads & Bridges) department in 2013, this road was designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the state capital.
It runs near the Kohima War Cemetery and has become an essential route for vehicles traveling from Manipur to Dimapur, helping to ease traffic jams. The Box Cutting road also provides access to the Nagaland Civil Secretariat via Naga Hospital-Tinpati.
