Kohima College celebrates cultural cum food fest

With the theme, ‘Promote and Enrich Culture’, Kohima College celebrated its 52nd cultural day cum food fest at the college courtyard with Theja Meru, Advisor, Task Force of Music and Arts as special guest on September 2.
In his speech, Theja Meru emphasized on an acronym of his own MAD -Measure your progress daily, determine your Attitude and Dare to dream big. He also shared on the future plans of the TaFMA and informed that the best band from each district will be given a platform in the upcoming Hornbill Rock Concert, and a choir comprising of the best will represent Nagaland in Belgium in 2020.
The welcome note was addressed by Dr. Ralimongla, Principal, KCK, and an invocation was pronounced by Meyisangla Longkumer, Asst. Professor, Department of Economics. The vote of thanks was given by Imsongtemjen, Asst. Social and Cultural Secy., KCSC and a benediction by Meno E, Secretary, EU, KCK. The programme was chaired by Chamtsathü Lüzüri, social and cultural Secy, KCSC.
Special performances included a folk tune and folk dance by the Chakhesang and Sumi tribes, and a Folk Fusion by the L.B.U band, after which the food fest commenced.
