Kohima, May 2 (MExN): The Kohima District Task Force (DTF) COVID-19 review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie at DC's Office chamber, Kohima on May 2. A DIPR report stated that the meeting was convened to discuss on how the DTF can streamline and regulate things for effective implementation of the guidelines for the next two weeks of extended lockdown. In this connection, the DC said that while certain relaxations are being allowed as the state is in the green zone, guarding and sealing of our boundaries is the most critical area. This needs to be taken up seriously at this juncture, he added. As such, the DIPR reported that the DTF decided to strengthen the entry points, especially the Peducha Check Gate with more manpower and resources through the involvement of a medical team, police and SDRF for proper screening, details of the persons and sanitization of the vehicles including the essential commodity trucks. The members also stressed on thorough and strict checking of proper documents approved by the concerned individual states while entering the district at the Inter-State check gates of the district.
