A two day Fierce Open Badminton Tournament under the aegis of Kohima Town Christian Revival Church Youth Fellowship (KTCRCYF) commenced today at Grand Vista Arena, Meriema, Kohima.
Gracing the inaugural function, Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board chairman, Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu expressed happiness at the organisers for coming up with the event. While congratulating all the players, he urged them to master the art and be the best they possibly can.
Earlier the inaugural was compered by general secretary of the event, Keviphrelie Phewhuo while invocation was pronounced by KTCRCYF advisor Thepfulhouzo Tsürho.
A special number was presented by Ketounuo Sopfünuo.
A total number of 124 players have registered to take part in the seven categories including beginners, amateur men (singles & doubles), 40+ men’s doubles and open category men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The tournament will continue till October 15.
