Kohima Football League gets underway today

    Our Correspondent Kohima | August 8   The much awaited Kohima Football League 2017 under the aegis of Kohima Town Club will kick start from August 9 at 1:30 pm at Kohima Local Ground, Khuochiezie.   In a press briefing here today, both opener team United 16 FC and Forerunner FC exuded confidence for the match.   United 16 FC coach Chon said "we look forward for the first match and will be keen to play to win for three points to start the league". "We have high hopes and expectations and dream of victory as the motto says ‘believe and achieve,’" he added.   Jonathan Koso captain United 16 FC said that the team will be playing with mostly youngsters.   Forerunner FC coach Daniel Rongmei said that his club was very happy to play in KFL and assured full support. "My club is comprised of very young players guided by few senior players," he said.   Forerunner FC captain Vikedozo Yashu said it's a good opportunity for the players to exhibit talents and looks forward for an “exciting league”.     August 9 match United 16 FC vs Forerunner FC @ 1.30 pm
