The Kohima Khar Senso Telongjem today celebrated its golden jubilee at Molu Ki here under the theme, “Resourceful, Refined and Enlightened Citizen.”
Gracing the occasion, Finance Department OSD Taliremba said to be qualified to become a refined citizen one must live and keep the fundamental duties. He underlined that honesty, hard working, perseverance, consistency and sincerity in all spheres of life are the values to become a refined and successful citizen. He also stressed on keeping a balance to be able to overcome all situations in life.
One should make a mark in the society by doing good and unique things, he said. Making a mention of the need of a change in the society, the OSD said everyone desires a good change and that can be possible only when each individual change. He called upon the gathering to be the agent of change. Encouraging the citizens, particularly the young intellect, Talimeren called upon to show act of responsibility and to become leaders among the community and the State.
Parliamentary Secretary for IT&C and chairman DAN Longrineken released the Jubilee Souvenir. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Longrineken called upon the union to retrospect the past and strive towards a better future for the welfare of the village as well as the region. Saying that there are more blessings in unity and humility, the Parliamentary Secretary called the members to be more humble and advocate truthfulness in all walks of life. He further encouraged the youth not to forget the roots and to contribute towards the progress of their land.
