Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Thenusou Sekhose Yhome for ULB election from Ward 6 (D Block), Kohima announced that she will give special attention towards improving the safety and quality of life for the community.
Speaking at the campaign kick-off programme on June 15 at D Block Panchayat Hall, she assured to tackle issues affecting the community, such as housing, social services, schools and the environment and also attend to the needs of vulnerable members of the community. Yhome also vowed to strive for progress, advancement and quality of life, endorse community involvement to achieve an inclusive, vibrant and sustainable future.
She conveyed that her mission was to improve and develop public and civic amenities, ensure effective management of sanitation and waste, to address the issue of water scarcity, improve connectivity within wards/locality and to empower youth and women.
Addressing the campaign kick-off programme, Zhaleo Rio, Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Nagaland appealed the electorates to vote for Yhome. NDPP has awarded party ticket to her on the ground of her capability and potential, he said.
