In an order, the Kohima DC informed that odd numbered vehicles will be allowed to ply only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while even numbered vehicles will be allowed to ply only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The odd-even scheme will not apply on Sundays.

Violation of this restriction Order will be liable to be penalised under Section 177 & 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, the DC stated. This order shall be implemented with immediate effect and remain in force till July 15.
