Chieneinuo Brothers, Kiruphema lifted the trophy of men’s category 7th Kohima District Open Volleyball Tournament 2019 which concluded here today at Kohima Local Ground.
In the women’s category, Elite Sisters defeated Kezo Town Youth Organization in final to emerge as the champion. Chieneinuo Brothers awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 40,000 while runner up Khonoma Youth Organisation received Rs. 25,000.
Semifinalists Michazou Mima and Kiruphema Youth Organisation received Rs. 5000 each.
Best spiker award was bagged by Kelhusalie Pier of Khonoma Youth Organisation while best setter award went to Menusielie Hojha of Chieneinuo Brothers. Both the players received Rs. 2000 each.
Elite Sisters received a cash prize of Rs. 30, 000 while Kezo Town Youth Organisation awarded with Rs. 15,000.
Khavili Kive of Elite Sisters bagged best spiker award while Kejuvile of Kezo Town Youth Organisation received the best setter award and pocketed Rs. 2000 each.
Tokiho Swu of Elite Sisters was adjudged as the best coach of the tournament and received Rs. 2000. Megolhou Dolie, joint director of Youth Resources and Sports distributed prizes to the winners.
The tournament was organized by Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA).
