
KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): The Kohima Police has issued a traffic advisory for February 26 and 27 in view of the dispatch of polling teams which will be done on the day.
A press release from the police informed polling teams for all the Assembly Constituencies of Kohima District will be dispatched from IG Stadium Kohima and proceed to the Dispatch and Receiving Centre at DC Office Complex Kohima.
As such, the following locations have been declared as ‘No Parking Zones’: TCP Gate to Razhu point via old NST; Razhu point to TCP Gate via D – Block and Phoolbari; and Phoolbari Y Junction to DC Office and 1st AR Junction.
The police further informed that all obstructing vehicles will be towed as per the provisions of Section 201 MV Act, and towing charges shall be recovered from the vehicle owner. Meanwhile, all down going vehicles will be diverted from TCP Gate. The down route will be available via Naga Hospital Kohima junction, New Market road, KOHIMAS hospital, Naga Bazaar road, Census point and Teenpati area.
Vehicles going up will be allowed to take the normal route via Razhu point, D – Block, Phoolbari, and TCP Gate. There will be ‘NO ENTRY’ for vehicles proceeding from Census Point via Naga bazaar road.
Kohima Police has appealed for co-operation from all citizens to ensure smooth conduct of the General Elections 2023.
