Kohima Police issues traffic advisory for March 7

KOHIMA, MARCH 6 (MExN): The Kohima Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the swearing in ceremony to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly to be held at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on March 7. 

A notice from the Kohima Police informed that the areas declared as no parking zones are from Classic Island to Phoolbari via TCP Gate; and from Phoolbari to 1st Assam Rifles Main Gate via Ao Church. All obstructing vehicles will be towed as per the provisions of Section 201 MV Act, and towing charges shall be recovered from the vehicle owner, it cautioned. 

The Kohima Police further informed that all down vehicle traffic from PHQ Junction area will be diverted to Lady Miles Road via Classic Island. Meanwhile, all up vehicle traffic from High School junction/Bayavu will be diverted to KOHIMAS Hospital-Naga Bazar Road-NHAK Junction via Census Point. 

All vehicles proceeding towards Razhü Point from North PS junction area will be diverted to New Market-Naga Bazar Road. Vehicular traffic will be restricted at the following routes from 12:50 pm. 

In this regard, Kohima Police has appealed for co-operation from all citizens during the enforcement of this traffic regulation. 

Restrictions in Dimapur
Meanwhile, the Dimapur Police also issued a notice imposing certain restrictions on March 7 within Dimapur and Chumoükedima districts from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. A notice from the Dimapur Police informed that there will be restrictions on use of any kind of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) like drones etc; conduct of any firing practice by security forces/civil police/central police/private firing ranges or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms; and bursting of any kind of firecrackers.
