Kohima, August 13 (MExN): In view of the 75th Independence Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on August 15, the Kohima Police has issued traffic regulations which will be enforced as part of the security arrangement.
Only vehicles with CAR PASS ‘A’ (Red) and CAR PASS ‘B’ (Blue) will be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza. Vehicles with CAR PASS ‘C’ (Green) will drop their respective officers at the Main Gate and shall be parked outside the Secretariat Complex, a notification from the Kohima Police PRO stated.
Vehicles without car passes will not be allowed to enter the Secretariat Complex and shall be parked along the Assembly Secretariat road.
No vehicle including two-wheelers will be allowed to park by the roadside from 0600 hrs onwards on August 15 at the following routes till the programme is over:
(a) New CM Official Residence, Phezoucha to New Secretariat Complex.
(b) From BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island.
(c) From Raj Bhavan till Classic Island.
(d) From Classic Island till New Secretariat Complex via Razhü Point, High school junction.
Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town till the programme is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 0600 hrs, the notification added.
While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the Kohima Police also cautioned that defaulting vehicles would be towed away and the charges will be borne by the vehicle owners.
