Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Kohima Police personnel manning Khuzama Inter-State check gate has recovered 360 gms of suspected heroin on April 25 and arrested one person in this connection. The contraband was packed in 30 soap cases in a Kohima-bound vehicle coming from Manipur, informed a press release from PRO Kohima Police.
Accordingly, the driver identified as one Daili, a resident of Senapati, Manipur was arrested and the contraband along with the vehicle were seized, it said. During preliminary investigation, the value of the contraband was found to be worth approximately Rs 30 lakh in the national market and a case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Khuzama PSfor further investigation, it added.
