Kohima Police seizes 17, 000 banned capsules

Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): In a major haul, the Kohima Police, on August 21, recovered 17,000 capsules of banned Spasmo proxyvon drug, an official informed today.   The Sub – Divisional Police Officer (South) & PRO, Kohima Atu Zumvü NPS said in a press note that the police personnel manning the Peducha check gate found the drugs from one Maruti Car when they were conducting routine checking and frisking of vehicles.   The banned drugs worth Rs 1,70,000 in the black market was neatly packed in polyethene bags and was found concealed in a compartment built in the back seat of the vehicle, it said.   One person identified as Yanger Chang (36 yrs) of Noksen Village under Tuensang was taken into police custody for possession and transportation of the banned drug, the PRO added.   A regular case was registered against the accused and he was remanded into judicial custody. it said.   Meanwhile, the Kohima Police on Sunday arrested one person on charges of "attempted murder" after a complaint lodged was against him.

  Neingusalie Kense of Tuophema village and presently a resident Kohima was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Dapfhütsumia Youth Organisation on charge of “attempted murder” on one its member from ‘D’ Khel, Kohima Village, the police said.   A criminal case was registered against the arrested person at Kohima North PS for further investigation, it added.
