Kohima, January 3 (MExN): The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) conducted its annual sports meet from December 27-30, 2021 and January 3, 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima, Chiephobozou Indoor Stadium and Tsiesema ground.
Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor graced the inaugural function on December 27 last.
The meet was marked by football, cricket, volleyball, penalty shoot-out, tug-of-war, marathon race, chess and badminton. Track and field events were conducted for junior and Sunday school children. The meet also witnessed exhibition match of Naga wrestling for men
Pekrubeinuo Sanchu and Petekhrienuo Kulnu won the quiz competition. Koinonia Prayer Center bagged the discipline team. Sports Organising Committee convenor Neizokhotuo Belho said ‘Sports in church ministry is to fellowship in true spirit and to glorify God’s name through sports.’
