Mon, October 2 (MExN): The Konyak Union (KU) has resolved to abstain from participating in any Central or State Elections until the demand for Frontier Nagaland is fulfilled by the Government of India. The decision in support of August 26 Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation (ENPO) resolution was unanimously taken after a long deliberation which culminated with a meeting at Mon Headquarters on September 30, stated a press release from KU President Tingthok Konyak and Press & Media Secretary, Nokzei P Konyak. The meeting was attended by Konyak villages; Students' Union; Ahngs; Village Council Chairmen and GBs; all KU Units and branches; all Area Students' Union; apex civil societies; political parties and intending candidates; intellectuals and senior leaders of the Konyak Naga Tribe.
