Kohima, October 1 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has condoled the demise of Rovi Seyie, father of KPC vice president, Asa Seyie, who passed away on October 1. He was 104.
Besides being a fatherly figure to KPC members, Rovi Seyie has been a pioneer and a mentor to many in the society. He was the first Christian convert from Mengujuma village and also the first pastor of the village, a position which he had served for well over two decades and continued to guide his successors and the public, both young and old, throughout his lifetime.
‘In his demise, we have lost a loving father, an uncle, a grandfather, a visionary teacher, a Christian pioneer, and a powerhouse of knowledge and wisdom. While we mourn his passing along with the family members, we also celebrate and cherish his life: a life well-lived with a legacy to remember,’ KPC said while conveying condolences to the family.
