Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Kandi Public Union (KPU) has decided to go ahead with its proposed total bandh along National Highway-2 for 48-hours with effect from 6AM of October 31 till the midnight of November 1. The Union is compelled and constrained to go ahead with the bandh due to the irresponsive attitude of the State Government, KPU informed in a press note. “This will be the first phase of KPU agitation against the failure of the Government of Nagaland to address our genuine demand for construction of BDO Office under RD Block Chunlikha,” it said. The foundation stone for BDO Office was laid down on February 29 2012. Paramilitary/Police, Magistrate on duty, Ambulance, Wedding Party and Press fraternity will be exempted from the purview the total bandh.
