DIMAPUR, JULY 12 (MExN): The Khonoma Rüffüno Nagaland (KRN) has strongly condemned the act of defaming Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, in social media platforms wherein her identity was dragged into the on-going crisis in Manipur.
In a press release, the KRN clarified that Salhoutuonuo Kruse and her late husband Er. Kevisekho Kruse are both Angami Nagas by birth and bonafide citizens of Khonoma village, Kohima District, Nagaland.
“They are neither from Meitei nor Zo-Kuki community and therefore dragging their identity into the present Manipur crisis is not only a diabolical act of character assassination but tantamount to playing with the life and wellbeing of an innocent person,” it stated.
The KRN has urged the state government to take up this matter with utmost seriousness and bring the culprit(s) to book, as it involves the wellbeing and security of a Cabinet Minister of the Government of Nagaland.
