Kronu appeals ENPO to reconsider demand

Kohima | January 23 : State Planning Board (SPB) deputy chairman Neiba Kronu today appealed to ENPO to reconsider their demand for ‘Frontier Nagaland’ in the interest of Naga unity.
Talking to media persons at his official residence here this evening, Kronu felt that at this transitional period of time, unity and understanding is the most important thing.
He said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio “we have given enough attention to eastern Nagas and even who are living in Myanmar also.”
Kronu said the present government was trying its best to uplift the people be it infrastructure and economy of the people.
He stated that we are too small people adding that the entire Nagaland population is not equivalent to one district of Uttar Pradesh or Bihar. “Why should we make ourselves smaller?,” he said.
Kronu said they have to understand why Nagas have been struggling for such a long time, saying “we said we want to live under one administrative unit.”
The deputy chairman said the subsequent resolution passed in the House of Nagaland Legislative Assembly on four occasions cannot be undermined. “That is the desire of Naga people” he said.
