The 6th Sports meet organised by the Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) concluded on February 12.
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 14 (MExN): The 6th Sports Meet organised by the Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) which commenced on February 8 was successfully concluded on February 11 at Ahthibung Town Local Ground.
The sports meet which saw a participation of a total of 21 constituent units of KSON included events such as Football (Men), Volleyball (Men & Women) and Athletic events (both Men and Women) such as High Jump, Long Jump, Relay Race, 100m and 200m Race.
For the Football Men, Bongkolong Youth and Students’ Union bagged the first position with Phanjang Youth and Students’ Union as the runners up, while the first place for Volleyball Men was bagged by Bungsang Youth and Students’ Union with Kuki Youth and Students’ Union Medziphema as the runners up.
Meanwhile, Vongkithem Youth and Students’ Union emerged as the Champion for the Volleyball women’s category with Khaibung Youth and Students’ Union as the runners up.
The closing ceremony was graced by Social Activist, C Singson as the Special Guest, accompanied by the executives of KukiInpi Nagaland (KIN) and Kuki Nute Kiloikhom (KNK), Head GB Ahthibung and members of Ahthibung Adhoc Town Committee.
