KSON, KIN mourn demise of ex IBM

Dimapur, October 15 (MExN): The Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) has mourned the sudden demise of Sahlutah Pu Lutjakai Kuki, Ex IBM of Nagaland on October 13 at Zion Hospital, Dimapur.


A condolence message from Media Cell, KSON said that the Kukis of Nagaland were bereft of a great leader on his death, that it will be hard for the people to find a person who can fill the shoe of a leader of his stature. He was one of the Interim Body Member (IBM) of Nagaland representing the Kukis in 1961-63, and also one of the pioneer members of the creation for full-fledged statehood call of Nagaland, it added. “His dedication and self-sacrifice in the service of his people remains etched in the mind of every person who has ever got the opportunity to know him.” KSON conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.


Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) also expressed shock and grief at the sudden demise. KIN in a message stated that he was a prominent figure among the Kukis, while adding that he dedicated all his life for the social welfare. He was a pioneer in the establishment of Ahthibung town, recently upgraded to SDO (C), it added. KIN prayed that the Almighty God give comfort and solace to the bereaved family members.
