KSU pays tribute to late martyrs

Dimapur, March 18 (DIPR): The Konyaks observed the 8th death anniversary of  late Panglem and late Chahtai at KSU Martyrs Park at Mon on March 18, 2011, which was organised by the Konyak Students Union.  President KSU, Khoangjah Konyak while addressing the gathering called upon all peace-loving citizen to come forward to maintain peaceful atmosphere in Mon district as well as in Nagaland. He also appealed to all the Naga brothers and sisters to stand for peace, leaving aside all the brutality and violence among individual, community and society. Earlier invocation was pronounced by Angtong Konyak president ACCI, Mon and the programme was chaired by Chingshom Konyak vice president KSU. The programme was attended by KU, KNSK, KSU and well wishers.
 
25th anniversary of late Kekuojalie & late Vikhozo
 
Kohima, March 18 (MExN): The 25th anniversary of Lt. Kekuojalie Sachü and Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshü (NSF Martyrs’ 1986-2011) will take place on March 20 at the Kohima Local Ground under the aegis of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF).
The 25th anniversary will be held under the theme “Lives that inspires.” Meanwhile, the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) fervently appealed all educational institutions in Kohima town to positively participate in the programme.
The Union also invites all citizens of Kohima to partake in this auspicious occasion where the sacrifices of “our late martyrs’ for a just and rightful cause for the Nagas are reflected upon and due tribute and honour bestowed upon our beloved martyrs.”
NSF former speaker Elias Lotha will be master of ceremony. The occasion will be marked by speech from NSF president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu, Dr. Vizovol Mekro, associate professor, Department of Geology, Kohima Science College, Jotsoma. Theme note will be brought by Ayungba Aonok, NSF president (1985-87). ASU and NPMHR will also deliver solidarity note while words from the martyrs’ family will be brought by Thinuohelie (Late Kekuojalie’s family) and Dr. Dietho-o Yhoshü (Late Vikhozo’s family).
NSF general secretary O. Wati Jamir will pronounce vote of thanks.
