
DIMAPUR, JULY 29 (MExN): The Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) has issued a condemnation of the murder of 42-year-old Apon Khersa from Disaguphu village in Chumoukedima district. The incident occurred on July 19.
According to KTCN, Khersa's life was taken by his own companions, who then attempted to conceal their crime by disposing of his body. The council described the act as inhumane and called for widespread condemnation from all right-thinking citizens.
In their statement, KTCN praised the swift action taken by the authorities in apprehending the suspects. They appealed to the law enforcement agencies to ensure that the perpetrators receive a fitting punishment in accordance with the law.
The KTCN also urged its members to remain vigilant and act responsibly in all situations. They emphasized the importance of informing and alerting authorities and family members in case of any disputes or differences. The council extended its condolences to the bereaved family.
