MON, SEPTEMBER 8 (MExN): The Konyak Union, Mon unit has informed the Mon town market areas, fuel pump, gas agency and shop keepers along with commercial vehicles to observe a complete bandh from 6:00am to 6:00pm on September 9. This is a unanimous decision taken by Mon Block Civil Societies to protest against the extortion and harassment meted out to the business community, a press release from the KU Mon informed. It requested the Mon Area Students’ Union and Mon Town Students’ Union to volunteer during the bandh to ensure smooth enforcement. Any shop and commercial vehicle found violating this bandh will be strictly dealt with, it added.
