The weeklong LXV (65th) Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) Meet 2022 entered the second day today in Kohima.
800 metre race (men), Kevise Belho of Tsütuonuomia khel won, setting a new record time of 2:08:31 minutes. Petekhrietuo Solo, also of T Khel, bagged the second position while Thejakrielie Mechülho of Pfuchatsumia Khel finished third.
4x400 relay race (men): 1st- P Khel – Nounezelhou Rutsa, Dziesezotuo Rutsa, Petevilie Rame and Kekhriezhanyü Pienyü finishing in 43:72 seconds. 2nd - Lhisemia Khel – Mhasiletuo Yhome, Mhalezotuo Dzüvichü, Zasevituo Yhome & Kezevituo Suokhrie.
800m race (women): 1st – Khriezelhounuo Keyho of P Khel, 2nd – Dziesekuonuo Linyü of L Khel & 3rd – Kelhoulenuo Sekhose of T Khel.
Broad Jump (women): 1st – Dziesengunuo Solo of T Khel, Pelekhonuo Mepfhüo of L Khel & Rüduolhounuo Belho of T Khel.
The High Jump (men) was swept by T Khel with Neiketuolie Belho, Keneitseizo Belho and Keduolhouvolie Solo taking the top three positions.
High Jump (women): 1st – Ruokuosanuo Sachü of D Khel, 2nd - Dziesengunuo Solo & 3rd – Kelhouneinuo Rutsa.
Day 3 will feature athletics from 9:00 AM, followed by Chess, Throw and Football at Indira Gandhi Stadium and indoor games at Indoor Stadium at 3:30 PM.
