The Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) on May 6 honoured 285 successful candidates of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examinations 2025 including Gold medalist of bachelor’s and master’s degree, achievers of Ph.D and other competitive exams from Kohima village.
The Union celebrated the academic accomplishments of the students from Kohima village including achievers of the competitive exam conducted by NPSC and NSSB this year.
In a felicitation programme held at Kohima Village Council (KVC) Hall, Vituonuo Suohu, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Tabernacle Technologies Pvt Ltd, KVC chairman Hielievio-o Solo and KZK president Daisy Mezhür Sekhose delivered short speech and congratulated the successful candidates and achievers, and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their future academic and personal endeavors. They also acknowledged the role of parents, teachers and the community in shaping the students' success.
Neiseinuo Suohu, HSSLC Top 2 spoke on behalf of the toppers. Earlier, KVSU President Khriesaneikuo Kire delivered presidential address. The programme also witnessed invocation prayer from Rev Vichiilie Kelio, pastor CRC Kohima village while Nourhengunuo Zatsu presented special number.
The programme was chaired by KVSU General Secretary, Kiyakhrienuo Solo while vote of thanks was proposed by KVSU Education & Statistical Secretary, Keneikhienuo Khezhie.
The awardees included: Dr Neilhouzhü Kire Angami Award- Keluosenuo Suokhrie (Top 4); Samuel Mezhür Award-Mhalevonuo Khezhie (HSSLC Arts; Banuo Mezhür Award-Neiseinuo Suohu (HSSLC Science/ Top 2); Lhoulienyü Suokhrie Award-Mezhülhoutuonuo Suhu (B.Sc Chemistry).
HSLC Toppers: Keluosenuo Suokhrie Top 4/Topper in Tourism & Hospitality (Vocational), HSLC 2025 (Recipient of Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire Angami Award); Seyietsunuo Sote: Top 10; Keneisevor Belho: Top 11; Siedzelenuo Sachü: Top 16; Mengusinuo Phewhuo: Top 16; Vibeizonuo Rutsa: Top 17; and Zevizonuo Rutsa: Top 18.
