
Our Correspondent Kohima | November 3 Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) today emerged champions of 4th Kiruphema Students’ Union (KSU) open volleyball tournament after defeating Khonoma Students’ Union held at Kiruphema Local Ground, Peducha under the aegis of KSU. Adroit Boyz Sechu Zubza also became the first penalty shoot-out champion by defeating Kezie Kro-u Kiruphema. Gracing the valedictory function as special invitee, Western Angami Sports Association (WASA) president Kobou Mezhünyü said that KSU tournament is one of the most famed tournaments which brought teams from other neighbouring villages as well. He congratulated KSU for taking the initiative to organize the tournament for the last 4 years and also urged KSU to take higher steps in the future and develop players into superior competitive level. Meanwhile, the organizers expressed gratitude to all the sponsors, match patrons, participating teams, fans, media, medical department and well-wishers for their support and cooperation. The valedictory function was chaired by Keneiselhou Hozoyie while vote of thanks was pronounced by Kezevilie Hojha.
