Lakhuti, November 12 (MExN): The public of Lakhuti organized fete day in aid of Don Bosco School (DBS), Lakhuti computer lab based on the theme ‘God loves a cheerful giver’ (2 Corinthians 9:7) at the Community Hall of the village on November 11.
Dr. William Humtsoe, the chief guest, while exhorting the children reminded them that the parents have organized the event precisely for them. He reiterated that it is mandatory for every student to equip oneself with at least the basics of computer in this age, informed a press release from DBS Lakhuti vice principal, Rev. Fr. Dominic Selosie. He also appreciated the public and the leaders for coming up with the novel idea of raising the fund for such a noble cause.
The organizing committee set up various stalls selling food, vegetables, lottery, handicraft, animals, fish, handloom items etc. Earlier, Rev. Fr. Saji Mathew briefed the public about the importance of setting up the computer lab in the school. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mhonbemo H at the programme, which was chaired by Abeni Patton.
The press release stated that the Fete Day idea was conceived by the staff of Don Bosco School, initiated by the active village elders, and was headed by the alumni of the school residing in the village.
