‘Land owners should not become hindrance to road project’: Azo

Kohima, August 6 (MExN): While raising concern over the utilization of Rs 93  crores for Kohima by-pass road package 2, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu appreciated the NHIDCL that the road development works are going on war footing with quality control.

Azo stated this while raising question on the status of Kohima by-pass package-2 of Meriema at the 8th session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on August 5. Nevertheless, Azo said that the land owners should not become a hindrance to this road project.

He also asserted that Nagaland will be having good roads like any other state within two to three years.

Earlier, on being asked about the status of Kohima by-pass package-2 of Meriema of 500 meters tunnel on the floor of the House, Deputy Chief Minister (Home and R&B) Y Patton replied that 55 meters tunnel excavation works from Western Portal side has been completed so far.

Patton also furnished the details of utilization of Rs. 93 crores which was sanctioned for land owners along with the list of distribution with names and amount.
