TASU appeals department to intervene
Tobu, July 20 (MExN): A massive landslide on July 16 damaged a stretch of approximately 200ft of PWD road near Wangshu Village under Tobu subdivision of Mon district disrupting movement of vehicles and people, the Tobu Area Students' Union (TASU) informed on Tuesday.
The PWD road is the only lifeline road for a total of eight villages under the subdivision— Wangshu Village, Tangkhao Village, Changlu Village, Yeangmai Village, Tamkoang Village, Eyeang Village, Yongkhao and Shinnyu Village, and the landslide has disrupted the movement of vehicles carrying essential commodities and medical emergencies, the TASU stated in a press release. The road also connects Tobu headquarter to the International Trade Centre (ITC) Pangsha.
In this regard, the TASU requested the concerned department to intervene and repair the road at the earliest for the welfare of the public.
