V Kashiho, Minister Soil & Water Conservation, Geology and Mining in presence of Union minster of state for Home, Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on November 9 handed the “clean election certificate” to the Head GB of Langzanger Village.
Langzanger Village is a small hamlet in Sitimi area village under 59 Sitim-Seyochung.
Minister V Kashiho while handing over the certificate mentioned that the village in the recent concluded general election 2018, in line with the call of the NBCC and the Nagas for good and just governance, the village successfully implemented clean election.
The minister also disclosing that the village share nearly 3% of the total vote in the constituency has made a significant achievement. He also encouraged other villages and individual to follow suit which will ripple out in the state and the country.
As a token of acknowledgement the minister also assure to earmark Rs. 50,000 under LADP each year for the next four years for outstanding students in village education fund.
Interacting with this correspondence, the Head GB Thrikyuse expressed gratitude to the government for acknowledging and encouraging the villager.
He further expressed hope that clean election will be implemented all over the state and the country so that just governance is delivered.
It may be mentioned that the village has unanimously adopted resolution wich include to not establish society in the village; no to money/ alcohol; no slogans; no guns; and putting up of postures allowed only in specific locations.
