Late Chikom Wangnao mourned

Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Ato Kionser Th Muivah has expressed his sadness over the sudden demise of Chikom Wangnao, the Deputy Kilonser, Konyak Region, and wife of the NSCN (IM) Kedallo Tongmeth Wangnao, on August 4.

Late Chikom who hailed from Tamlu village, joined the Naga National service in the year 1983, and was a brave soldier, a strong mother and a supportive wife. “She had shouldered many responsibilities in her capacity and beyond; she had always excelled and exhibited true spirit of nationalism,” Muivah said in a condolence message.

“The services and sacrifices she has given to the nation shall always be remembered in all times. Her death has left a vacuum in our hearts that none can fill,” he added while conveying condolences to the bereaved. 

ENNWF Myanmar: Mourning the demise of late Chikom, the Eastern Naga National Workers Forum (ENNWF, Myanmar) stated that it would deeply miss her soft hearted personality and hospitality.

It also extended deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.  

NSWON: The National Socialist Women’s Organization of Nagalim (NSWON) said that late Chikom was closely associated with NSWON in different capacities during her service for the Naga nation. “With the loss of such a great soul, she left behind a trial of beautiful memories,” it said while conveying heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives.

“We give our revolutionary salute to her for what she is to the Naga nation. The Naga nation will always remember her, as her name will be recorded in the history of the Naga political movement,” it added. 

NSWON (WTR): The NSWON (Wung Tangkhul Region) said that late Chikom served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until her demise.

“The void created by her demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in,” it said while adding that her sacrifices for the Naga nation would be cherished by all. It conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed to rest in peace.
