DIMAPUR, MARCH 11 (MExN): The Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA) with co-operation of the family members of Late Khurshid Hussain, has decided to revive the first organised cricket tournament in Dimapur and named it as "Late Khurshid Hussain Memorial Under-18 Cricket Tournament".
This tournament will be organised under the aegis of Nagaland Cricket Association at NCA Stadium, Sovima from March 14 to 20.
From this tournament the probables of the District U-19 team will be selected. Late Khurshid was the eldest son of late Anwar Hussain, who was a cricketer whose life was cut short by a tragic accident. After his death his father who was the only non-naga Minister in Nagaland instituted this tournament in his honour in 1977.
The three sisters of late Khurshid- Marina Khulu, Jesmina Zeliang and Sabrina Hussain with a desire to continue the trophy has tied up with DDCA to revive the oldest tournament.
