Kohima, March 3 (MExN): The Liangmai Baptist Association celebrated Children Day of Prayer in all the Churches under Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Nagaland on March 3. The Children Day of Prayer was organised and initiated by the Christian Education Department (CED) under LBA.

Joining with the rest of the Churches in Nagaland, Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church celebrated LBA Children Day of Prayer, a press release issued by K Zeliang informed. KLBC Women Leader Narola Newmai while delivering the gospel message urged the congregation to promote children’s talent and to bring them together to create awareness among them. She stated that parents are called by God to radically bring change in children, family and church towards their rightful place in the kingdom of God.

She lamented that children, the leaders of tomorrow, are often ignored by parents. Children and youths can be the agents of transformation and therefore church’s mission should give priority to children. She also encouraged the leaders and parents to pray for the children to grow and become strong, filled with wisdom and the grace of God in them. She urged to get the children to be more involved in the church activities without separating from the rest of the congregation. The Sunday School Children presented a song during the programme, which was chaired by Sunday School Assistant superintendent Nchangbuile Newmai.
