Longleng, July 30 (MExN): The Longleng District Legal Services Authority (LDLSA) conducted awareness programme in collaboration with Health and Family Welfare at District Court Conference Hall on July 29.

A press release from NSLSA stated that Counselor Nyangnyusangla, Sakhi OSC highlighted the importance, duties and functions in relation to women and child and further shared their success story to the gathering. 

Panglang Y Phom, Panel Lawyer delivered on the laws relating to child rights enshrined in the Constitution and other provisions of law relating to the child and also emphasized on the Right to Education Act 2009. A Mane Phom, Retainer Lawyer spoke on various laws on the child such as POCSO Act 2012, Prohibition of Child Labour Act and The Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956.

Dr Temsusashi, District TB Officer Longleng spoke on Rashtrita Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) Child related schemes and challenged the gathering to work hand in hand to make Longleng TB free District and also encouraged the gathering to be more vigilant and prepared for the third wave in this pandemic situation.

Holika Sukhalu, CJM & Secretary LDLSA concluded with the vote of thanks and further urged the participants to be more pro active in approach and spread the legal knowledge. P Monyei Phom, Panel Lawyer chaired the programme and urged the gathering to avail the schemes provided by various departments. Altogether, 32 participants attended the programme.
