
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The National Domestic Workers Movement – Nagaland Region organized leadership and communication programme on October 30 at Neisatuo Colony in Neingulie School compound. It was jointly organized by Assisi Centre for Integrated Development.
The main speaker of the day Rev Fr PaulInashe explained on the skills of a leader and the needed communication skills for the better building of the family and the society. Effective communication and effective leadership are closely interconnected, he said.
Prasanto, the youth president, expressed his gratitude for organizing such programmes in the colony to uplift the women and build leadership skills in them.
Maya Sahu, domestic workers’ leader, stressed upon who and what woman should be. She expressed that being a leader they have a multiple roles to play. At home, as mother, wife, sister, daughter in law but the biggest responsibility is to lead the members on the right path in the society. It is easy only when a leader becomes humble and leads the group from behind, she stated.
Sr Pramila, NDWM –Nagaland Region Coordinator in her welcome address expressed her thanks to the leaders in the colony and urged them to lead many more women. There were 125 participants who took part in the programme.
