Stated in a press release from Peace Channel Desk, the programme began with introduction and ice breaking session initiated by the facilitator. Altogether 53 students and a teacher animator participated in the programme.
Kulnu addressed the students saying leadership starts with our beliefs and values. "In order for us to know how to lead and how to improve upon our ability to lead, we must first understand ourselves. Leadership is about having a clear goal, a higher vision and taking full responsibility to achieve it. Leadership is an important function of management which helps to maximize efficiency and to achieve goals," she said.
She also spoke about self awareness- and how it helps understand our strength, weakness, values, character and need. She stated that self exploration leads to self discovery and right understanding. Right understanding helps in identifying and moving towards the holistic vision or the comprehensive human goal. Self discovery is an extremely vital phase in the lives of young adults. Self discovery is the process in which young adults take during their transition from childhood to adulthood.
During this transition, a young adult may choose to part take in various different experiences. This experiences may include different educational, various relationships with friends, social groups and other people such as teachers, supervisors and parents. Young adults may also experience various opportunities and locations of residency, join or create social groups, and may even engage in activities such as, vacations, and recreational events.
She also urged the students to appreciate the moment of youth while they still have it, and also not to rush to become an adult.
