LEH condemns misconduct at Nagaland House in New Delhi

Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): The Lotha Eloe Hoho has strongly condemned the reported misconduct at Nagaland House in New Delhi, following an academic programme organised by the Naga Scholars' Association (NSA) on September 15, 2026. 

In a statement issued on September 20, the Hoho expressed solidarity with Prof Dolly Kikon, Prof Sanjay Barbora, the Naga Scholars' Association (NSA), and the participating scholars and students. The organization condemned the reported discourteous conduct toward the invited guests and participants, expressing deep concern over how the matter was handled. 

Stressing that Nagaland House represents the state government in the national capital, the Hoho emphasized the vital importance of professionalism, courtesy, and respect when dealing with scholars, visitors, and members of the public. 

While taking note of the reported apology and assurance to examine the matter, the Lotha Eloe Hoho called for a fair and transparent inquiry with appropriate action based on the findings. 

Concluding its statement, the Hoho reiterated its unwavering commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and responsible institutional conduct while standing in solidarity with all those affected.
